Before you move money

A short checklist, at the level of concepts. It is not a guide to opening an account at any particular venue.

  1. The right network

    USDT on TRC-20 is not USDT on ERC-20. Sending on the wrong network usually means it is gone.

  2. The right address

    Copy, paste, then compare the first and last few characters. Malware can swap addresses in the clipboard.

  3. A small test first

    Send a small amount, wait for it to arrive, then send the rest.

  4. Read the term and the withdrawal time

    A fixed term locks funds until maturity; staking often has a wait of several days.

  5. Save the promo conditions

    Take a screenshot of the rate, cap and promo end date when you deposit: conditions can change later.

  6. Put it in your book

    Record the deposit to be told when the rate drops, a promo ends or the venue has an incident.
